Bueno, a ver... El Hotel Sufetula... Es como si un arqueólogo loco (con buen gusto, eso sí) decidiera meter un hotel *literalmente* en las ruinas romanas de Sufetula, en Túnez. ¡Imagínate! Es como dormir en un museo… pero con baño privado y posibilidad de pedir un gin-tonic (o a ver, lo que tengan, que estamos en Túnez). La publicidad lo vende como el “paraíso perdido”. Y, mira, a veces me ha parecido que sí, un paraíso *un poco* perdido en el tiempo, con sus encantos y sus… cosillas.
Lo que me atrajo? La idea de la inmersión total. ¿Te imaginas desayunar viendo columnas romanas? ¡Es para fotos! Y para sentirte Indiana Jones, aunque en pijama y buscando café, no el Santo Grial.
¿Cómo Llegar a Sufetula? (Y Sobrevivir al Trayecto, Que Es Lo Importante)
Llegar… es una aventura en sí misma. Depende de dónde vengas, claro. Yo llegué desde Túnez capital. El vuelo… bueno, sin incidentes, gracias a Dios. Luego, un taxi al aeropuerto de Sfax. De allí, un taxi a Sidi Bouzid. Y… ¡ahí empieza lo bueno! Porque desde Sidi Bouzid, o alquilas un coche (si eres valiente y te gusta la aventura… y sabes conducir del lado “equivocado” de la carretera) o vas en louage (taxi colectivo) que… ¡madre mía!).
Los *louages* son una experiencia cultural… A veces, te tocan con música a todo volumen y huelen a especias y a… bueno, a Túnez. Pero son baratos. Así que, a apretar. Ah, y no te sorprendas si se paran cada dos por tres para que suban y bajen gente, o para que el conductor se tome un té. Relájate, toma fotos y disfruta. ¡Estás en Túnez!
Consejo: lleva agua, mucho agua. Y sé paciente. El viaje te parecerá eterno, pero cuando llegues, pensarás que valió la pena. O eso, o que te querrás volver corriendo… Depende de tu nivel de aguante.
¿Las Habitaciones del Hotel Sufetula Son... Cómodas? (O Un Desastre con Encanto)
¡Ah, las habitaciones! Aquí la cosa se pone… interesante. A ver, no esperes el Hilton. Piensa en “encanto rústico con un toque decadente”. O, para ser más franca: a veces… son un poco… descarnadas. Estuve una vez en una que tenía una grieta en la pared… ¡que casi veía el exterior! Literalmente, con el cielo estrellado de Túnez a través de la grieta. Romántico o… un poco preocupante, ¿no?
Por otro lado, la cama era cómoda. Y la vista… ¡Dios mío, la vista! Directamente a las ruinas. Despertarte y ver columnas romanas… Es algo que no se olvida. Pero sí, tal vez lleva tu propio jabón y champú. Y revisa que el aire acondicionado funcione (o que, al menos, haya un ventilador que no haga más ruido que el viento del desierto).
Digamos que la comodidad es… variable. Pero la experiencia… la experiencia es inolvidable.
¿Qué Se Come En El Hotel Sufetula? ¿Hay Algo Más Allá del Cuscús?
¡La comida! Aquí la cosa es… ¡deliciosa! El cuscús, por supuesto, está presente. Y es… ¡ay, qué bueno! Con cordero, pollo, verduras… Una barbaridad. Pero también hay otros platos típicos tunecinos. Prueba el tajine, que es como un estofado… ¡Espectacular! Y el pan… ¡crujiente y recién hecho! Te lo juro, solo por el pan ya merece la pena ir.
Ahora bien… Si eres muy delicado con la comida, prepárate. A veces, el restaurante es un poco… ¿cómo decirlo? A su aire. El servicio puede ser lento (muy lento). Y la carta… digamos que puede ser un poco confusa. Pero la comida, en general, es buena. Con "buena" me refiero a que es comida casera, con mucho sabor, y que te deja el estómago contento.
¡Ah! Y no te olvides de probar el té a la menta. Es obligatorio. Y dulce. Muy dulce. Pero… ¡delicioso!
¿Qué Diablos Hago En Sufetula Aparte De Admirar Piedras? ¿Hay Algo Que Hacer?
¡A ver, a ver! Sufetula es principalmente… ruinas. ¡Muchas ruinas! El sitio arqueológico es impresionante. El arco de Trajano, el foro, los templos… Son magníficos. Te recomiendo contratar un guía. Porque si no, solo ves piedras. Y sí, son bonitas piedras, pero con un guía, la historia cobra vida. Escuchas las anécdotas, las leyendas… es mucho más interesante.
Aparte de eso… Bueno, puedes pasear por los alrededores. El paisaje es desértico, pero tiene su encanto. Ver la puesta de sol sobre las ruinas… ¡es mágico! Y… relájate. Lee un libro. Descansa. Desconecta del mundo. Porque en Sufetula, no vas a encontrar discotecas, ni centros comerciales, ni tiendas de souvenirs (bueno, igual alguna, pero no esperes mucho).
